Kamron Sanders, a member of the Southern High School bocce team, is not minding the attention of his teammates at all in this photo. Taken by Alex Flanigan earlier this month at a four-school bocce tournament involving Southern, Northern, Allegany, and Fort Hill high schools, the picture is evidence of the strong camaraderie among teammates. Shown from left are Hayley Diehl, Kamron, Linzy Britner, and Nicole Schroyer. Kamron is a full member of the team, as are several other students who are differently abled. Kim Sanders, Kamron's mother, said the sport has been wonderful for him, and for the family. "He has practice after school, just like the other kids, and he is really involved. That makes such a difference for him," she said. See more photos on today's sports pages.
